We suggest that you never
put a tinned item in the dishwasher. Because lye used in the
dishwasher soap will eat the tin on the tinned products. You
will see a dull powdery finish on your tinned products.
Lye also deteriorates your aluminum products such as dough hooks, mixer paddles and the hub on the wire whips. Gas Tanks: If you choose to apply an outer coating to the gas tank i.e. paint, clear coat or undercoating we suggest the following step. In order to etch or rough up the surface use a medium coarse steel wool or a light sand paper to prep the surface.
